What is Nuwber?

Nuwber.com is a people-search engine that pulls personal data from public records, social networks, other data brokers, and a variety of other sources. The site exposes such sensitive details as first and last names, aliases, date of birth, phone numbers, email addresses, current and past addresses, census data, social media profiles, property information, and much more.

Nuwber is not a consumer reporting agency (as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act) so it can’t be used to make decisions about credit granting or denial, insurance underwriting, housing and renting, employment, and similar purposes. However, since you never know why someone is searching for your information and what intentions they have, it’s better to opt out of Nuwber.com.

To remove your information from Nuwber, you don’t need to have a subscription or make any payments. You are required to submit an opt-out request on their website and verify it via email.

DISCLAIMER: Onerep founder has an ownership stake in Nuwber; his expertise in data brokerage and people search allowed to create the most efficient tool for the removal of data from people-search sites. The companies are operated separately and there is no financial overlap between them.

Check the personal details provided on the appearing page to make sure the information is correct. Then enter your email address and click the “Remove” button.

We recommend creating a separate email address, that doesn’t disclose your personal information, for opting out from data brokers. This action will prevent these sites from collecting and possibly displaying the email address you use for personal and business purposes. You can also use a disposable email address. However, make sure to finish the opt-out process before your email account automatically disappears.

Note that it might take time for Google to update its indexes and your record might still be present in the search results even after opting out. The record page might already be removed and show the 410 error upon clicking on it but the preview will be visible on Google. If that happens, leave a request via Google’s tool for removing outdated content.
