What is SOC 2?

SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls 2)  is an independent audit framework established by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). It outlines how organizations should manage customer data and evaluates them across five trust service principles: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

How is SOC 2 Type II assessment made?

Achieving SOC 2 Type II compliance involves a thorough examination of a company’s systems and controls over a defined period—typically three months or more. Unlike SOC 2 Type I certification we previously earned, which assesses the design of these controls at a single point in time, SOC 2 Type II analyzes the operational effectiveness of these controls over the entire assessment period, evaluating how well these controls operate in real-world scenarios.
