What is Innovis?

Innovis.com is a credit reporting agency. It provides such services as identity verification, fraud protection, and dispute resolution. It also shares personal data in the form of marketing lists to creditors and insurers.

Because Innovis is a credit reporting agency, it must retain certain personal data to provide the services. You have the following options:

  • Dispute inaccurate or incomplete information in a consumer report
  • Opt out of prescreening
  • Prevent the disclosure of your Innovis Credit Report to new creditors

How to dispute inaccuracies in your consumer report

If your Innovis Credit Report contains inaccuracies or incomplete data, you have the right to dispute them. You can do that:

  • Via your personal account
  • By sending an investigation request by mail to Innovis Consumer Assistance, PO Box 530088, Atlanta, GA 30353-0088
  • Via phone at 1-866-712-0021

Note that you’ll have to verify your identity by providing personal info (e.g., name, date of birth, SSN). The average time the investigation takes is around 30 days.

How to opt out of prescreening

Innovis supplies marketing lists to creditors and insurers to make firm offers of credit or insurance that are not initiated by you. You can opt out of such lists via OptOutPrescreen.com. Note that the opt-out request is also sent to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.

How to place a security freeze

You can prevent new creditors from accessing your Innovis Credit Report by placing a security freeze. You can do that via:

  • An online form
  • Via mail by sending the completed request form to Innovis Consumer Assistance, PO Box 530088, Atlanta, GA 30353-0088
  • Via phone at 1-866-712-4546

Note that you’ll have to verify your identity by providing personal info (e.g., name, date of birth, SSN). Once your identity is verified, you’ll receive a 10-digit PIN to manage access to your report during security freeze.
